The first one is the first live DJ mix I had ever heard, way back in 2005. Its a killer jackin’ house set, with hints of acid and tek thrown in for good measure. Classic, solid, and eye-opening.

There’s no tracklisting for this one, as its pretty lengthy, but expect classics by DJ Sneak, Blacksoul, Jimpster, Gavin Boyce, and a stack of tracks on Freerange Records.

Their killer set was opened by Nathan Stewart, L. Boogie, and J.A.M.O.N. who also threw down pretty huge.

Also, there’s a good bit of discussion on this mix over at SoundCloud from people who were there, or are looking for track ID’s. No Tracklisting for this mix, but there are some wicked tunes, and its definitely worth a listen or two

Into August we go, and with this year flying by, I decided to take a bit of a look back at some older tracks from 2007 and 2008. You forget how many gems you have lying around sometimes!

Digging deep, I found a few old beauties from David Durriez’s Brique Rouge label (what ever happened to BR?!?!), a Mr V remix of the classic Roland Clark jam, Have a Good Time, plus a couple of Funk D’Void tracks on Soma that are really special. Note to self… remember the good, old tunes!
