I’m starting a new thing here. Every monday morning, you’ll see a new mix up. These will only be available for that week, so get them while they’re hot!

This week, as its the first new mix monday, I’m putting up 3! All of them are by my great friend Ornette, who is the reason I’m even into House music at all.

The first one is the first live DJ mix I had ever heard, way back in 2005. Its a killer jackin’ house set, with hints of acid and tek thrown in for good measure. Classic, solid, and eye-opening.

There’s no tracklisting for this one, as its pretty lengthy, but expect classics by DJ Sneak, Blacksoul, Jimpster, Gavin Boyce, and a stack of tracks on Freerange Records.

As I said in my last post, I went to Austin, Texas a couple weekends ago. I celebrated my 18th birthday there, by hanging out with my family and seeing the Inland Knights!

Their killer set was opened by Nathan Stewart, L. Boogie, and J.A.M.O.N. who also threw down pretty huge.

The latest flight on TAA took off yesterday on MHYH Radio… Check it out, over at MyCuppaT..

Into August we go, and with this year flying by, I decided to take a bit of a look back at some older tracks from 2007 and 2008. You forget how many gems you have lying around sometimes!

Digging deep, I found a few old beauties from David Durriez’s Brique Rouge label (what ever happened to BR?!?!), a Mr V remix of the classic Roland Clark jam, Have a Good Time, plus a couple of Funk D’Void tracks on Soma that are really special. Note to self… remember the good, old tunes!
